Dear brother Bill
Greetings in the Name of Jesus!
My name is Victor Kulbich, I am a pastor in Ukraine – a young independent country that have suffered 70 years of communist regime. Today we are developing those kinds of ministry that could not be performed before because of restrictions. One of those is children’s and youth camps. Since I am the director of UCCC (Ukrainian center for Christian Cooperation – http://uccc.kiev.ua/), a large organization that took responsibility to develop kinds of ministry that could not be done earlier. For example:
1) New Church planting (creating new churches) – that term did not even exist in our language before. But with God’s help within last 15 years about 1700 new Baptist churches were planted.
2) Children’s ministry was strictly prohibited, but within last 15 years we have trained over 5000 children ministry workers, specialized in various realms.
3) Bible study department (http://biblestudy.kiev.ua/) regularly produces materials for small group Bible studies for various age groups. At the moment over 900 churches are working using these curriculums.
The goal of my letter is that we are suffering a great need in children’s and youth camps. We are having a good partnership with Herb M. Rawlings and he recommended us to contact you to help us to raise funds needed.
In last year, till May 2010, we had 8426 children and 6450 of them were unbelievers and 1463 of them accepted Jesus as a personal Savior. More that 3000 children that were in the camp have been from very pure families and 686 children from orphanages and handicapped. Our need is in finances for camps for this season.
For this season camps, in order to accommodate 9000 children, we need $84’559.
We also need to finish dormitory for the camp which will allow as to double the number of children accommodated. The dormitory needs $145’000.
It’s also important for the camp to have a dining hall. At the moment we are using temporary building for those needs and children are feed there. The dining hall is in the repair process and in order to finish it we need additional $220’000. This is a large hall that will be capable of holding 320 children at once.
If you are able to help us at least partially, we would be very thankful to God and to you.
Money can be sent though Rawling Foundation – they know how to send it to Ukraine.
If you have any questions or need an additional info – we would gladly present it to you.
With sincere love in Jesus,
Victor Kulbich.

Editor's Note: This is a camp that has been supported by the Rawlings Foundation, and we feel it is a worthy cause if you would choose to place some of your mission money towards this project.
