2,200 Saved In Dominican Republic Baseball Camps

Bill,
Here is the article on our recent baseball outreach:
"In November, The Rawlings Foundation Complex in the Dominican Republic hosted the annual SCORE International Baseball Outreach. There were 191 men from the USA who travelled to the DR to conduct baseball clinics. Each day, Dominican boys came to the clinics to get instruction, equipment, and to hear the Gospel. There were more than 6,000 Dominican boys who attended.
At every clinic, the Gospel of Jesus Christ was clearly presented in testimonies of the USA players and coaches and the preaching of missionaries. Over 2,200 boys prayed to receive Jesus as Savior. The beautiful Highlands Complex, built by the Rawlings Foundation, is the site for future sports evangelistic efforts. The camp will also be used for discipleship.
Currently, over 200 boys attend weekly discipleship classes. Gary Carter, member of Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame, participated in the clinics as well as players from the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, and LA Dodgers."
Bill, I will also be sending you a DVD of this year's outreach along with some photos.
-Ron Bishop
Director of SCORE International
