Women’s Camp in Cambodia June 18

June 18 is the holiday for the Queen of Cambodia’s birthday so we used this day to invite all the ladies from the community churches surrounding the Highlands Camp to hear the Word. A total of 587 ladies attended. They also brought 17 of their husbands and 256 of their children. Only ladies were originally invited but there were no babysitters so they could not leave them home. We had to rent 5 busses and 3 vans to transport them.

These are the churches represented, Liberty Bible Baptist Churches and Missions in Snaor, Trey Trayoeng, Phnom Sroyt, Cham Kar Chek, Chamkar Luong, Stueng Chay, Prey Nup and Sre Ambel. There have been 14 churches started as a result of the Camp Ministry around the region. A special invitation was extended to Russey Keo Baptist Church which sent 48 to the meeting.

There were 7 lecturers that gave lessons on Salvation, Assurance of Salvation, Baptism, Hygiene, Love, Courtship, Marriage, and how to be a faithful wife of a Servant.

We provided Cambodian games which they love to participate in, preached to them on the evening of the 17th . and noon on the 18th. 156 ladies, 189 children and 7 men came to Christ for Salvation. We held a baptismal service at 4:00pm and 100 were baptized.

One story that we do not need to overlook was that a wife really wanted to come though her baby was due at any time. She and her husband were saved the evening service and the baby was born the next day. They are now members of our church in Kiriom.

God is good all the time. Praise the Lord for His marvelous work, and thanks to the Rawlings Foundation for making this possible.
